GROUND PENETRATING RADAR (GPR) SURVEY

The Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a geophysical survey method that relies on the emission of high- frequency electromagnetic waves into the ground to detect reflections from objects in the subsurface. Using the measured travel-times, details about the location and depth of these subsurface objects can be determined.

GPR is a frequently used method in the search for buried structures within the first few meters of the subsurface. The factors influencing the depths of investigation are the antenna frequencies and the level of conductivity of the surveyed ground.

Our sophisticated equipment allows us to detect most of the objects (natural or man-made) accurately. Using the Multi-channel antennas, we are able to create depth and time slices which are perfect solutions for the 3D positioning of pipes, conduits and archaeological features.

  • Soil stratigraphy studies

  • Lake and river sediment mapping

  • Landfill investigations

  • Location of buried fuel tanks and oil drums

  • Disposal pit/Trench delineation

  • Pipeline leak detection

  • Location of buried structures

  • Pre-Excavation mapping

  • Location of graves and cemetery mapping

  • Location of buried targets (Bodies and Bullion)

  • Buried caches like weapon, UXO
